MY TYPE OF MUSIC (1st Sunday of the month)
UNEASY LISTENING (2nd and 4th Sunday of the month)
INTERMISSION (3rd Sunday of the month)
If you can remember the days when Melbourne was known as the ”City of Theatres” you will also recall that moment when the spotlight would focus on the organist seated at his console as it rose up from below the stage and the theatre would be filled with the glorious sounds of the mighty Wurlitzer. On the third Sunday of every month at 10.30am you can relive that moment when 94.1fm 3WBC presents ‘INTERMISSION”, an hour and a half of theatre organ music ranging from nostalgic to contemporary.
Whether it’s George Wright playing a medley of Cole Porter tunes, our own Tony Fenelon at the console of the beautifully restored 4/29 Wurlitzer in the Theatre Organ Society’s Capri Theatre, Adelaide or a visiting artist hosting a workshop on the Hammond B3 at Burnie’s Music Land, you will find something in this program to brighten up your day.
